We didn’t like the idea of flying half way round the world to travel it, so our adventure starts in Russia. Yes, Russia. The big, scary country with a questionable history of leadership and boat loads of nuclear weapons. But to us it sounded like an exciting place to begin our journey.The Trans Mongolian Express, a 7.500 km train journey that takes you through the heart of Russia into Mongolia and along the great wall of china to Beijing. If we don’t kill each other in the 6x6 metre, 4 birth sleeper cabin shared with two strangers for 12 days we will make it through the rest!
